Doug Clingman is the founder of Clingman Technology Consulting. Serving as a trusted advisor to small business owners, Doug has helped develop Clingman Tech into the successful company it is today. Prior to starting Clingman Tech in July 2001, Doug founded Nothing But Service of Willowbrook, Illinois in 1988 and served as the company’s president for more than a decade. Before selling the business to a California-based national service provider in 2001, Nothing But Service was known for providing exceptional IT service to small businesses in the Chicago land area. In addition to founding two successful companies, Doug has served on the National Services Advisory Console for Ingram Micro and Intelligent Electronic where he assisted systems integrators with partnering nationally. He is a proud graduate of Elmhurst College’s Business Management Program, as well as a loving husband and father of three children.

Eric van Straten joined Clingman Technology Consulting in October 2007 as a full time employee after working as a part time consultant with Doug Clingman prior to that time. In January 2009 Eric became a partner Clingman Tech.

Since 1994 Eric has been working in the computer field providing consulting services and in-house technical support. Eric's experience includes working for the Federal Home Loan Bank system providing infrastructure support, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier providing telecom and data infrastructure support, and for local consulting firms providing project management and consulting services.

Eric lives in the Broad Ripple area and is active in a animal rescue. He is a founding member and on the board of directors for a national dog rescue.
